Holy Family Primary, Luddenham Early Stage 1 students relive the 70s during their fantastic Grandparents Day performance
Holy Family Primary, Luddenham took a step back in time to celebrate Grandparents Day!
It is the school’s ‘event of the year’ and received the biggest turn out of grandparents, families and community members ever seen with some travelling from as far as Bathurst, Dubbo and even Scotland!
Principal Anthony McElhone said it was a great celebration and the interest from families was the most it has ever been. “Our Mass was overflowing, which shows how committed our community is to our school and parish,’’ Mr McElhone said.
“A lot of planning and work goes into this event every year from our teachers, parents and students. In fact planning is already well on the way for next year. It makes us so proud to be able to showcase our school,” Mr McElhone said.
The fluro era of the 80s was revived in the spectacular school performances at Holy Family Primary
Visitors were invited to attend Mass and a wonderful feast coordinated by parent volunteers. There was plenty of time for the community to catch-up on all the wonderful learning at the school before the showcase event: school performances.
This year’s performances were themed 'Step Back In Time' and featured music from the naughty 2000s, 90s, 80s, 70s and 60s.
