What a day! Once again Grandparent's Day was an amazing community event. We had families and friends come from far and wide to join us for the great celebration.
Our day commenced with a beautiful Mass celebrated by Fr Giovani. This was followed by a great morning tea and performances by the students.
The theme for the performances was the Year of the Monkey. There was also a special performance by the teachers.

Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese mourns the loss of former Executive Director of Schools Greg Whitby AM KSG. Diocese of Parramatta Bishop Vincent Long has shared a moving tribute to Greg here: https://catholicoutlook.org/vale-to-greg-whitby-am-former-executive-director-of-catholic-education/ Greg led our organisation, then known as Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta, from 2006 to 2022. He will be remembered fondly, including for his dedication to making a difference to the lives of children and young people across Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains through education. Not only was Greg our leader, he was also one of our own: a graduate of St Monica's North Parramatta as well as a former Principal of Emmaus Catholic College Kemps Creek. A larger-than-life character, his championship of change and innovation was a source of inspiration. He leaves an extraordinary legacy of thought-leadership and advocacy that continues to serve Catholic schools in the Parramatta Diocese today. CSPD gives thanks for Greg’s life and leadership. He will be remembered for his courage, vision and passion, which will live on through the generations of educators he has inspired. We share our sincerest sympathies with Greg’s wife Sue, their children Matthew, Alexandra and Sophie, his grandchildren, and extended family at this very sad time. Eternal rest grant unto Greg, O Lord. May perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Yesterday, students from Holy Family competed in the Captivate dance competition. These students gave up many of their lunch times to be apart of this group and should be congratulated on all of their efforts! Every single one of these girls worked really hard and it paid off, with our Junior group placing 3rd and Charlie’s solo receiving a Highly Commended🏅 Congratulations once again🩰🪩

🏆 **National Champions!** 🥇 Last week, Skylah Steele proudly represented New South Wales at the Little League Girls National Baseball Championships in Redcliffe, QLD. Over five days, her team played six games against strong competition from Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, and fellow NSW teams. They went through the pool rounds undefeated, securing their place in the grand final, where they claimed a convincing win over Western Australia to take the gold medal and become the 2025 National Champions. Skylah showed incredible determination, positivity, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament, soaking up every moment and learning so much from her coaches and teammates. 👏 A huge congratulations to Skylah and the NSW Composite team—not only for taking out the title, but for being the only Little League Girls National Champions anywhere in the world!💙⚾️ #NSWBaseball #GirlsWithGame #LittleLeagueChampions #ProudMoment #BaseballAustralia #PenrithBaseballClub
